YOUR DATA

Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Controller: morpii (business details in the legal notice). Privacy officer: Taejoo Um, representative of morpii. Send privacy questions and requests to morpiihq@gmail.com.

2. Information we process and why

  • Player and rankings: an automatically created player ID and authentication session, nickname and four-digit tag, run ID and random seed, score, distance, play time, maximum combo, record timestamps and the approximate region of each run. Used to restore your player, save and rank records, and prevent invalid submissions.
  • Score verification: submitted runs contain score, distance, duration, maximum combo, event statistics and item usage. The server performs basic range and ownership checks and stores the accepted summary, its hash and verification/request-limit metadata. Gameplay input logs are not recorded or uploaded. A temporary local copy of the summary allows interrupted saves to retry (sections 4 and 6).
  • Saved run: while a run is alive, this browser stores its account/run IDs, save time, vehicle, score, distance, items and nearby obstacles so you can continue later. The checkpoint stays on this device until the run is crashed, ended, discarded or replaced. It is separate from the 24-hour pending-submission queue. Clearing site data removes it; it does not sync between devices.
  • Coins, achievements and items: coin balance and payout history, unlocked and claimed achievements, items obtained with coins, item inventory, car, boost and neon colours and licence plate text bought with coins by Google accounts and what is equipped, revives and start items used in each run, daily check-in dates, the check-in streak, daily quest progress and claimed quest rewards, the device time zone name (for example Asia/Seoul, used only to decide when your day starts), and the receipt created when a guest's unspent items are converted to coins on Google sign-in. Coins cannot be withdrawn as money or transferred to other players.
  • Optional purchases: we keep your player ID, an opaque purchase reference, Paddle transaction and price IDs, payment/refund state, coin adjustments, the first store-visit time and offer deadline, and timestamps to deliver purchases, prevent duplicate credits and reconcile refunds. We do not store card details or billing addresses. Paddle checkout receives an opaque purchase reference and product data; we send the verified email address of the signed-in Google account to prefill checkout, but do not send the Google profile. Paddle independently collects the billing information you enter and connection/device data under its privacy policy as merchant of record. The payment script loads only when you open checkout.
  • Friends (Google accounts only): friend requests and friendships, your friend invite code, and the time of your last visit, updated during game/menu visits, run starts and submissions, normally at most once per minute. Used to provide friend lists, the friends ranking and last-visit display.
  • Approximate region: country and state/province/region code and name derived from your connection by Cloudflare, used for regional rankings and coarse statistics. A short-lived signed token lets the game server verify the regional information. We do not request GPS access or store city, street address or coordinates.
  • Optional Google sign-in: Google and Supabase process your Google account identifier, email address, basic profile information and authentication tokens to sign you in and keep your records across devices. On first sign-in, a new player who has not chosen a nickname uses their Google profile name as their public game nickname, adjusted to the game's character and length limits. You can change it in the game. Chosen nicknames and existing account names are preserved. Your email and photo are not shown to other players. Google user data is not used for advertising or sent to visitor statistics. To keep guest records at sign-in, a one-use transfer token is valid for 30 minutes in browser session storage, and the server stores only its hash.
  • Visitor statistics: page arrival and departure, page path without query parameters, timestamps, temporary session and page identifiers, visit duration and country/region. PostHog uses the IP address and browser user agent only transiently to create a daily anonymous hash; the raw values are discarded. Player IDs, nicknames, scores, clicks, typed text and gameplay inputs are not sent to analytics.
  • Advertising: pages load Google's AdSense script. Google and its partners may process cookies or similar identifiers, IP address, device and browser information and the pages you visit to show and measure ads, prevent ad fraud and, where permitted and not opted out, personalize ads. We do not send your player profile, scores or Google account email to advertising services.
  • Support requests: your email address, message and anything you choose to include, used to respond and resolve the request.
  • Technical delivery: hosting, database and font providers necessarily process network information such as IP address, request time and browser headers to deliver and protect their services.

Legal basis. Under the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), we process the player, ranking, verification, coin, item, achievement, friend and sign-in information above without separate consent because it is necessary to provide the service you request (Article 15(1)(4)). Security, abuse prevention and cookieless statistics rely on our legitimate interest where it clearly outweighs your rights (Article 15(1)(6)). Where other laws apply, we rely on equivalent grounds (contract performance and legitimate interests), and where consent is required, such as for personalized advertising cookies in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we rely on consent collected through Google's consent message.

3. What other players can see

Rankings: global and regional leaderboards publicly show your nickname, score, distance, rank and record date; the four-digit tag is shown only for Google accounts. Tapping a name in a ranking also shows that player’s car colour, boost colour, neon and licence plate text. Regional inclusion can reveal the approximate region of a run. Do not put your real name or contact details in your nickname.

Friends: accepted friends see your nickname#tag, best records and last visit time. A friend request shows your nickname#tag to the recipient, and anyone who opens your invite link sees your nickname#tag. Authentication data, support emails and internal player IDs are never shown.

4. Cookies, browser storage and advertising

Game storage. The game uses your browser's local storage for language, sound and graphics settings, recently shown stories and your sign-in session, and session storage for the sign-in transfer token and sign-in receipt. Before an online submission, local storage also temporarily holds its account ID, run ID, result summary and queue timestamp to recover from network or server failures. Successful saves and non-retryable submissions are removed; pending entries have a 24-hour recovery lifetime, with cleanup on the next queue check. Other settings remain until you clear site data. Builds without an online leaderboard keep the player, up to 400 distinct best runs across score/distance lists, coins and achievements on the device. Clearing it may lose access to a guest player; it does not delete server records.

Statistics. PostHog runs cookieless and stores no analytics identifiers in your browser. It is skipped when your browser sends Do Not Track.

Advertising cookies. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe). See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, personalized ads are shown only with consent collected through Google's consent message.

Refusing. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies does not affect gameplay; blocking all site storage can prevent the game from keeping your player or settings.

5. Service providers and international transfers

We entrust processing to the providers below, which also involves transferring personal information outside Korea. Under PIPA Article 28-8(1)(3), these transfers are necessary to provide the service and are disclosed here. Information is transmitted over the network whenever you use the related feature.

Recipient (contact)CountryItems & purposeRetention
Cloudflare, Inc. (privacyquestions@cloudflare.com)Global network, including the United StatesConnection and request metadata; website delivery, security and approximate region lookup.Per Cloudflare's policy
Supabase, Inc. (privacy@supabase.com)India (Mumbai database region); provider support may process elsewherePlayer, ranking, coin, item, achievement, friend and last-visit data, authentication session and Google sign-in data; account authentication and game data storage. As in section 6
PostHog, Inc. (privacy policy)United StatesCookieless visit statistics described above.Per event retention (currently 1 year on the free plan)
Google LLC (privacy policy)United States and Google's global infrastructureGoogle sign-in and One Tap; AdSense advertising; font delivery; support email correspondence.Per Google's policies

Optional Paddle checkout. Paddle.com Market Limited / Paddle.com Inc. (privacy@paddle.com), in the UK, US and its international service network, separately process checkout and billing data as merchant of record. Only opening checkout sends connection data to Paddle; declining a purchase does not prevent free gameplay. See Paddle’s processing, international transfers and retention.

Refusing transfer. These providers are required to run the online game. If you do not want your information transferred, stop using the service and ask us to delete your data; online rankings, sign-in, friends, coins and items are then unavailable. You can still refuse statistics (Do Not Track) and personalized advertising (section 4) without losing gameplay.

We do not sell your game data and do not give third parties your player profile, except where required by law or necessary to address abuse and protect legal rights. Ko-fi and Tesla links open external sites whose own policies apply; the game does not collect payment-card details.

6. Retention and destruction

  • Player, rankings, coins, items, achievements and server verification metadata: kept while the service operates, until you request deletion or the data is removed for abuse.
  • Pending submissions on your device: removed after acknowledgment or a non-retryable response. Recovery expires 24 hours after the entry was first queued; expired entries are removed when the game next checks the queue. If the browser stays closed, local data can remain until a later visit or until you clear site data. These summaries are not sent to analytics.
  • Friends: a friendship or request is deleted when either player removes, declines or cancels it. Your last visit time is overwritten on each visit and deleted with your player.
  • Sign-in transfer: the token expires after 30 minutes; the hashed transfer record and settlement receipt are kept with your account to prevent double crediting.
  • Statistics and advertising: handled under PostHog's and Google's retention policies described above.
  • Store visits: The account stores the first successful store visit, accumulated active game time, and the current session and heartbeat to enforce the 10-hour active-play bonus window. The timer pauses when the game is closed or not in the foreground. These records are deleted with the player. Views without signed-in store access do not start an offer. Preview, sandbox and live visits are separate.
  • Purchase records: while needed for delivery, refunds and duplicate-credit prevention during service operation. When a player is deleted, the game removes its account link from the purchase ledger. Transaction references and settlement state may remain for reconciliation or legal obligations; contact us for a deletion request. Paddle keeps its independent billing records under its own policy.
  • Support: kept while needed to resolve the request and related disputes, then deleted.

Information subject to a legal retention obligation is kept only for the required period and purpose. When it is no longer needed, electronic records are deleted in a way that cannot be restored or are irreversibly anonymized; we keep no paper records. Provider backups follow each provider's deletion schedule.

7. Your rights and how to exercise them

You may ask to access, correct, delete or suspend the processing of your personal information, withdraw consent, and, where applicable, request portability or object. Email morpiihq@gmail.com; a legal representative or authorized agent may also make the request with proof of authority. For game records, include your nickname, four-digit tag and approximate play date. We may need proportionate ownership verification; a nickname alone is not proof. Never email a session token. Where Korean law applies, we respond within 10 days.

You can change your nickname, remove friends and sign out in the game. Clearing browser data removes only local storage.

Automated verification. Records are checked automatically using basic summary checks; a run that fails verification is not saved. You can ask for an explanation or a human review by email.

8. Security measures

Administrative: access to data is limited to the operator. Technical: HTTPS encryption in transit; database access control and row-level security; all writes pass through server-side validation; service keys stay on the server; transfer tokens are stored as hashes; original input logs are not stored on the server, and browser retry copies follow the cleanup rules in section 6. Physical: data is held in the providers' secured data centers. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; please report suspected issues privately to our contact email.

9. Children

The game is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Korean law requires a legal guardian's consent for children under 14; if we learn that we hold such information without it, we delete it. A parent or guardian can ask us to remove a child's information.

10. Remedies

For help with an infringement of personal information rights, you can contact the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (1833-6972, kopico.go.kr), the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (118, privacy.kisa.or.kr), the Supreme Prosecutors' Office (1301, spo.go.kr) or the Korean National Police Agency (182, ecrm.police.go.kr). Outside Korea, you may also contact your local data-protection authority.

11. Changes

We update the date above when this policy changes and announce material changes to collection, providers or purposes on the site before they apply. Previous versions: October 18, 2026 (first version); October 23, 2026 (added coins and achievements, Google sign-in). The October 24, 2026 update clarifies temporary local storage and cleanup of pending gameplay submissions, server verification metadata, Google-account cosmetics use of a Google profile name as a new player's initial public nickname, and the planned optional Paddle coin checkout, and adds daily check-ins and quests (check-in dates, streak, quest progress and the device time zone name).
